a month ago i sent a letter to the us branch about 607. my purpose for sending it was because i wanted to show to my parents through the letters the truth behind the date system.
two days ago, i received a response from them.
i think this is gonna be the first of many.
What I have always wanted to ask them is this. We no longer believe in typical, anti typical interpretation of the Bible after decades of these teachings. This is a typical, anti typical teaching. The first or typical interpretation is Nebuchadnezzar going mad (tree cut down and banded) then his rulership restored. Then they shove this into an anti typical with Jesus and 1914. Either we believe in typical, antitypical or we do not.
Am I missing something?

That is really good news. I have a question about the Australian Royal Commission. Watchtower will not apologize, will not pay the victims, there is not a class action law suit that I know of, so what is going on? If you don’t do anything and hold people accountable what is the point.
I realize it woke up a lot of people and we saw the GB lie, but it just seems after all of that exposure and hard work there would be some kind of penalty.
remember when we were younger we would read in their books or even see a drama on how jerusalem was surrounded by romans armies in 66 ce then one night they were just gone.
jewish rebels even chased them killing many as they left.
this i guessed fulfilled a prophecy in mathew and then the true followers of jesus would see this a know to flee to the mountains as the unfaithful stayed in jerusalem thinking all was well and the romans were gone for good until 4 years later they returned destroyed the city killing most of the inhabitants including unfaithful christians that didn’t heed the warning.
Oh my. I didn’t know that. I was just looking up some info on the subject. I don’t know why I am surprised! Thanks for sharing. I don’t know why I would discuss this with anyone but if I did it is good to have correct info. They make stuff up and preach it like the gospel.

I think they had been borrowing against the buildings for years and had to pay back the loans. The buildings were sold and the bank collected the money. That is my 2 cents worth.

That is what I thought too and is the thing that woke me up. I just second guess myself especially after you believed a lie for so long. The overlapping generation should have made us all walk out. I told my husband I will never be able to conduct a Bible study because I cannot teach that. But it didn’t make me leave. The anti typical thing made me do research if Jerusalem was destroyed in 607. However if we don’t believe in typical anti typical this teaching should have been flushed.

Isn’t that a typical anti typical prophecy? There is the first fulfillment with Nebuchadnezzar and then the second with Jesus beginning his reign in 1914. What am I missing?

Thank you for sharing this. I have downloaded a copy on my computer. Their outright lies resulting in the death of so many is unforgivable. I am surprised there have not been lawsuits against the society for the misrepresentation. They really need to be exposed.
